Fabulous Aloeride® Face Masks and invaluable tips to prevent & repair wrinkles

The earlier in life you start looking after what you've got, the better! Changes can sometimes be reversed and the slowing down of ageing can be achieved by everybody. Here’s my top tips:

1) Cleaning with soap is a fantastic idea when you are really mucky. But soaps dissolve fats, so the more often you use soap on your skin the more fats you dissolve. Of course the dietary intake of good oils is important andgood oils are great but work so much better when you ingest antioxidants.

2) For skin the most persistent onslaught is the pollution that is inside you. So make sure your liver-gallbladder-intestines (fat soluble toxins) and kidneys (water soluble toxins) work well by:
• drinking 2 litres of water every day, including green or white tea
• intake of Selenium, Taurine, vitamin C, B vitamins and other nutrients that fuel pathways of biotransformation via the liver.

3) Real hydration of skin AND mineral content (remember osmosis in physics). Slap moisturisers on your face but without mineral salts H2O isn't going to stay there... What is real is this: drink an appropriate quantity of pure water + ingest plenty of mineral containing foods = good hydration.

4) Feed yourself plenty of nutrients needed as building blocks, as anti-oxidants, as detox fuellers.

5) Local feeding, hurrah it is time for fabulous face masks:
Cooling Facial: Mix the capsule content of 2 Aloeride® capsules with 2 heaped teaspoons of curcumin (turmeric root powder) into 2-3 tablespoons of plain, natural yogurt (no whey as this may make the mask too runny). Apply to your face and neck (avoid eyes) and leave it on for 20 minutes, then gently rinse off with lukewarm water. Turmeric is a member of the ginger family and has potent anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and antioxidant properties. Just relax and rejuvenate.

Dry Skin Facial: Crush the meat of a raw, ripe, organically grown avocado with a sturdy fork, mix in the capsule content of 2 Aloeride® capsules and apply this mixture to your face and neck (avoid eyes) and leave it on for 20 minutes, then gently rinse off with lukewarm water. Avocado contains high levels of plant steroids (sterolins); vitamins A, D, E, K (fat soluble), B complex, C, beta-carotene; minerals Magnesium, Potassium, Copper, Iron, Calcium; all essential amino acids and then some; Lecithin; and more than 20% essential unsaturated fatty acids. This mask may help diminish facial lentigos (liver/age spots.Relax and feed your skin back to beauty.

Oily Skin Facial: Blend uncooked oatmeal (absorbent) with an apple (its malic acid dissolves fats) in a blender, add filtered water as necessary with possibly some fresh lemon juice (dissolves fats), mix in the capsule content of 2 Aloeride® capsules and apply this mixture to your face and neck (avoid eyes) and leave it on for 20 minutes, then gently rinse off with lukewarm water. French green clay is another favourite for oily skin, again because of its oil-absorbent property (mix ½ - 1 tablespoon powder to 1-2 tablespoon water). Aloeride® stimulates production of collagen, keratinocyte activity, wound repair, kills pathogens and of course by combining Aloeride® capsules with Aloeride® containing face masks, you help your skin to nutrition from both sides.

7) Over-exposure to sunlight is unwise at the best of times but if you have overindulged, how well you can bounce back from this is much helped by Aloeride® because of its significant skin repair and antioxidant properties.
Your face is your calling card and an interesting question therefore is what would you like people to see? Beyond the quality of your skin we at Aloeride® hope you will also nurture that twinkle of benevolent mischief in your eyes.

Do Bacterial ‘Bugs’ Cause IBD?

Out of the approximately 1014 cells that make up the human body, nearly 90% are bacteria found in the large intestine. Generally these bacteria provide services like vitamin production, mineral absorption, protection against invading pathogens, breakdown of starches and fiber, activation and destruction of toxins, gut motility enhancement and many others, in return for stable environmental conditions (e.g. pH and temperature) and essential nutrients. However, these helpful bacteria exist in a delicate balance with other potentially harmful bacteria that can promote disease if this equilibrium is disturbed. In fact, there is increasing evidence that under certain conditions, gut bacteria can be involved in the initiation and/or continuation of the inflammatory processes associated with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) like Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC).

So what exactly is happening in the large intestine? Why do bacteria normally found in the body suddenly cause an immune response that leads to chronic disease? Researchers have not yet uncovered the exact steps that occur in the development of IBD; however, most agree that changes in normal gut bacteria trigger an immune response that leads to chronic inflammation and damage.

Studies have shown that the intestinal bacteria profiles of patients with active IBD are exceedingly different from healthy individuals. Patients with active IBD have lower quantities of bifidobacterium and lactobacillus—two of the most important types of helpful bacteria in the gut—and higher quantities of disease-causing and potentially harmful bacteria. These bacteria are not pathogens. Instead, they are harmful bacteria that colonize the gut but are normally kept in check by the beneficial bacteria.

When the balance of bacteria in the gut tips in favor of the harmful bacteria in the gut, they trigger inflammation in the intestine by producing enterotoxins that reduce the effectiveness of the protective epithelial layer of the gut by increasing its permeability; secreting immunosuppressive proteins that deregulate the mucosal immune system; and impairing epithelial cell metabolism. This theory seems to explain many of the classic hallmarks of IBD. For example, researchers have found that the intestinal lesions caused by IBD occur mainly in the areas with the highest concentrations of bacteria. It also explains why wide spectrum antibiotic therapy and intestinal washes often cause improvements in symptoms. These treatments reduce the total amount of bacteria in the intestines, thereby reducing inflammation. However, they do nothing to restore a healthy balance of bacteria within the gut.

A number of natural treatments can be used to address the issues of reestablishing the natural balance of bacteria within the intestine and reducing inflammation. These include:
Probiotics – Probiotics, which can be supplements or found in dairy products, contain large numbers of the beneficial bacteria that usually inhabit the large intestine. They are said to help control the number of potentially harmful bacteria, reduce inflammation and strengthen the protective mucosal lining in the gut.
Omega-3 Fatty Acids – Some studies have found that the omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil tablets may be able to reduce gut inflammation and corticosteroid use in IBD patients.
Boswellia – This resin taken from a tree native to India has been shown to block the chemical signaling pathways that trigger inflammation. In a 1997 study, 82% of UC patients who took 350 mg of boswellia three times a day experienced remission.
Aloe vera – Oral aloe vera has been found to have an effect on both inflammation and bacterial balance within the large intestine. In the intestine, it gently kills potentially harmful bacteria by starving them of sugars. It then creates a favorable growing environment for beneficial bacteria. In one clinical study, patients with UC were given either aloe vera or a placebo. After 4 weeks of treatment, 30% of patients taking aloe vera went into remission compared to 7% of patients taking placebo.

When choosing an aloe vera supplement, Aloeride® is the supplement of choice because it is the most nutrient-dense aloe vera supplement on the market with the gastrointestinal upsetting properties removed.

Can aloe vera really help prevent a heart attack?

Did you know that heart disease kills more women than breast cancer! Someone has a heart attack every 2 minutes and heart disease (including heart attacks) is the leading cause of death for both sexes in the UK : a scary one in five male deaths and around one in six female deaths.

Heart disease generally occurs as we age; however, there are preventative measures you can take to reduce your chances of suffering from this devastating disease. These measures include living a healthy lifestyle with proper exercise, healthy eating habits and stress management. There is one more preventative measure that is not as well known, but has been proven effective in medical studies: aloe vera.

Aloe vera not only offers a preventative approach to heart disease but also provides benefits for those who have already been diagnosed. Aloe is known for its anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce swelling throughout the body, including in the arteries that feed the heart. One study published in the journal Angiology showed a reversal of heart disease symptoms in 93% of patients suffering from the disease with the use of aloe vera. These same patients were checked again five years post-study and the results were startling. According to the statistics surrounding heart disease, 30% of those studied should have had a heart attack and half of those should have died from the disease in this time. Amazingly, none of the patients suffered a heart attack and all were still alive five years later. This study also showed that 100 grams of aloe vera daily can markedly improve the health of patients who were already suffering from heart disease.

Many people know the health benefits of aloe vera but not all aloe veras are the same! Aloeride®, is a naturally safe aloe vera and has more working molecules than any other aloe vera ( in independent laboratory tests of 70 other products).

Join the celebrities and take aloe vera!

Karina Smirnoff from "Dancing With The Stars" might have Hollywood’s best products at her disposal, but when it comes to beauty, the dancer prefers ‘to go natural’.
“With my family, Aloe Vera cures everything. If you have a blister: Aloe Vera. If you have a wrinkle: Aloe Vera. So, I think it comes with being half-Greek and half-Russian. We’ve always been into natural.” And she’ll soon be making her family beauty fix-alls accessible to everyone. “I’m actually writing a lifestyle book. Every chapter is going to have like a natural remedy, from taking eye-makeup off with diluted olive oil, to rubbing an ice cube frozen with squeeze lime or lemon in it all over your face to get circulation going and using avocado oil as a hair mask.”

I haven’t had Swine Flu yet!

February is always that time of year when doctors all over the world have surgeries full of the elderly, the vulnerable and children with flu! Why is this?

The elderly and vulnerable have an immune system that is on the decline and so fail to have a robust defence. Children often have not developed an adequate immune system.
Many people catch a cold and may call that flu, males reportedly make this error more readily than females. In a common cold you don’t get fever or a headache, but you do get a stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat and possibly mild chest discomfort. Any (mostly mild) aches, fatigue and weakness reflect no more than that there is a temporary drain on your immune resources.

When you get flu you will be pole axed with a high fever for several days, often accompanied by a headache, significant aches and pains, fatigue and weakness. For those without a robust immune system, flu can indeed be critical, and now there’s Swine Flu too!

What makes the difference between you getting flu or not, is how robust your immune system is. What helps you recover is how (rapidly) your immune response develops. So what can you do? In 9 out of 10 patients I see these simple 5 steps make all the difference in helping you boost the robustness of your immune system:
  1. First of all get reasonably fit, by brisk walking in the open air for 30 minutes 3x a week.
  2. Go to bed shortly after 10pm and clock up some quality sleep.
  3. Next good daily nutrition freshly made raw vegetables + fruits + berries + juices
  4. 2 immune system modulating Aloeride® aloe vera capsules
  5. 2,000mg of vitamin C to raise the antioxidant (redox) potential in your bloodstream.
You will be amazed how much a little can do.
