My Aloeride® journey

Han van de Braak makes Aloeride® aloe veraI am Han van de Braak, a very recently retired Chartered Physiotherapist, Registered Acupuncturist and Naturopath with 30 years of clinical experience. After working in the UK National Health Service, I started my (private) practice to combine conventional and complementary medicine. The Integrated Medicine Practice started from scratch in a small community in Leicestershire and after 23 years had 5,500 patients on the database. Next to this, what started as the natural remedy selling aspect of my practice, moved into researching, manufacturing, marketing and distributing my Aloeride® aloe vera worldwide.

I had always known about aloe vera but it was my daughter’s eczema that forced me to look into aloe vera very closely. The conventional way of managing eczema is with steroid creams but there’s a flipside to that: stop using it and the problem reappears and also steroids thin the skin, making it more vulnerable to injury. I didn't want to go the steroid route if I could help it. So I tried to manage her eczema with diet (I used laboratory allergy testing but in a very young child the immune system isn't fully developed yet) to no avail and also complex homeopathy didn’t give much joy. Yet she responded instantaneously* to what is now commercially known as Aloeride®. That was a happy day I can tell you! Also her eczema never developed into bronchial asthma or hay fever which is what all too commonly happens and evidently is very avoidable.  (* Aloeride® facilitated 'spontaneous' remission)

Why did I decide to create my own aloe vera brand? That is very simple! Most aloe vera fluids taste way too dreadful to give to my three year old (or to an adult for that matter). Many had additives of one variety or another and I wanted something that was 100% pure, without any additions she could possibly react to. Also there are issues with fluid aloe vera, like for instance bacterial degradation and oxidation. By taking the water out of the equation in a totally responsible fashion, I solved both these issues. A 'Bentley motorcar' quality aloe vera in a portable (of course child-friendly) capsule, so people can take Aloeride® aloe vera whenever they want to. What use would a bottle of aloe vera juice be to you at home in the fridge? The bottom line was, that the way in which my Aloeride® is produced, creates an aloe vera that has far more punch. Which is what you want when you're dealing with a health issue or if you are discerning, astute user of aloe vera.

My Aloeride® was launched in August 2004 after extensive trialling for 3 years with physicians and practitioners in the UK, Netherlands, Sweden and Spain. It is carefully manufactured to food and pharmaceutical GMP standard. Our Quality Control process involves independent laboratories. Aloeride® is 100% organic certified by the Soil Association, it really is an extremely high quality aloe vera food supplement.

Aloeride® is now sold in many countries around the world yet the ethos of my company remains a family business at heart. In July 2010 I retired from clinical practice so as to focus on one job rather than on two and to have more time for my family. One exciting project I have started is my Aloeride® skin care product... If you subscribe to my Newsletter I will keep you posted!
