We fully understand the gripes that some EU customers have about VAT not displaying immediately. If only e-commerce software could integrate GeoIP so it would show/not show VAT according to your geographical location... As you can see from the above snapshot, our website trades worldwide. This is why Value Added Tax (VAT) is not immediately displayed in our shop. Nobody outside the European Union (EU) is liable for VAT, so quoting prices including VAT would misinform the world population outside the EU (approximately 6.4 billion people).

Every product description is upfront about its price excluding tax. VAT is calculated during the shopping process but only if you order from within the EU. Also during the shopping process a small handling charge is added (normal practice within ecommerce) and this goes towards fair wages of fulfilment staff in Great Britain and America.

We have been asked if Aloeride® Extra Strong is zero-rated for VAT for registered disabled people. HM Revenue & Customs advised us that because Aloeride® Extra Strong is on sale to the general public and is not specifically made for or exclusively sold to the registered disabled, it is a VAT liable item always.
