Katie Jerram feeds Aloeride

Katie Jerram is almost showing royalty and has scooped nearly every prize under the spotlight. With a variety of top class horses at her stables in Great Dunmow, Essex, including a number owned by Her Majesty the Queen, Katie is in hot demand for clinics and lessons across the country. Katie became a huge fan of Aloeride when a horse under her care responded rapidly to feeding it Aloeride and has continued to benefit from it since.

“Aloeride will always be used regularly in our yard! I love the aloe and am definitely interested in continuing using it”. Katie Jerram, East Dunmow

We filmed this video at Keysoe The College Equestrian Centre for their Spring Show on 5th May and were delighted to see Katie Jerram in the ROR class with Night Prayers, he was 2nd and res. She also had two novices that were 4th and 6th with Jo Jack and Hazel Noble, and then went into the Hunters with HM The Queen’s Tower Bridge who was a star and he won. Katie then went onto Gortlass Rinirinca who won and was Champion Hunter. Helen Whitley John on Sea Ocean Field for the riding horse, he was pulled top and then moved to 2nd. At 0:38 you’ll see Jayne Ross being interviewed for Horse & Hound, she won the cob championship, the novice and large riding horse classes and reserve riding horse championship. What a fabulous day out in a beautiful location!

Katie is in hot demand for lessons and clinics year round and has a passion for training people: “It is so rewarding to help people win rosettes and to get them from novice riders to placing at the Horse of the Year Show in a year.” Katie’s friendly approachable demeanour and positive attitude is infectious whilst her teaching style is definitely hands on: “Every stride the horse takes I ride it myself from the ground. When I teach I’m not just doing exercises, I’m correcting the exercises every stride.” This attention to detail has stood Katie in good stead, as in 2010 she picked up the Supreme Championship at HOYS on her mother’s lightweight hunter Dunbeacon, following a foot perfect performance in the electric atmosphere of the main ring. Katie has a yard packed full of talented horse flesh and she clearly has an experienced eye for a top quality horse: “A horse has got to have that ‘look at me’ attitude; he’s got to have good movement and of course a show horse must have excellent confirmation. They are the three most important things to look for in any show horse, for me.”
