Sarah Rogers feeds her horses Aloeride

My name is Sarah Rogers, I’m 31 years old. I am currently based in the Cotswolds, where I ride and compete for family Bechtolsheimer.

Previous to this, I was very lucky to be based in Germany for five years where I trained and competed for Klaus Balkenhol. I had the opportunity to work with Klaus and Annabel Balkenhol (Klaus’s daughter) on many different horses. From breaking in young horses and developing them, to training the more advanced and competing up to grand prix. Which is where I had my first Grand Prix win!

I then moved to Paris to work with Marietta Almasy, where I lived for three years. There we had our client’s horses, that I also competed alongside Marietta’s horses. Whilst living in Paris, Marietta and I had a lot of success together. From winning young horse championships, many national titles and competing internationally.
