Dressage Anywhere sponsored by Aloeride

Melissa Bell Jim Boyle Ex-Racehorses Dressage Anywhere sponsored by AloerideAloeride was very excited to sponsor the Dressage Anywhere Jim Boyle’s ex-racehorses dressage class in March. We love the Retraining of Racehorses in which veterinary surgeon and trainer Jim Boyle is very much involved. Dressage Anywhere exists thanks to modern technology and enables dressage riders to compete from the comfort of their ‘own’ arena (without the expense and hassle of travel), make a quality video of their performance and have this judged online by a registered BD Judge. Very clever stuff!

Ruth at Dressage Anywhere said “The ex-racehorses classes are a great addition to our monthly competition schedule, giving riders the opportunity to continue their horse’s education and training and compete against fellow ex-racehorses. Our placed riders will really enjoy their Aloeride supplements! It’s great to see so many familiar faces in this popular league, which runs until November 2016.” Aloeride also sponsors the Jim Boyle’s ex-racehorses dressage class in September 2016.

“It is rewarding to see the horses taking up a new discipline and doing well with the basic training being put in place. There is a consistent standard with the top horses achieving good percentages. I love judging the ex-racehorse classes!” March’s Judge Sally Merrison (List 1 British Dressage Judge)

It was Sarah-Louise Wood riding Swedish Sailor (BD Preliminary 1 (2006) who won 1st Place in this competition with 73.95%, Score 140.5 and Collective 74. “Swedish Sailor, Swede to his friends, is a 7 year old ex-racer. I have owned him for two years. After a slow start with him having to have surgery following an accident, he is now back to fitness and working on his new dressage career! He is now looking forward to trying his Aloeride prize.” Second prize was won by Becca Marshall riding Polish World (BD Introductory A 2008): 68.70%, Score: 158, Collective: 69 and in third place was Melissa Bell riding Pompeii (BD Preliminary 1 2006): 67.89%, Score: 129, Collective: 68.

“I am very much enjoying entering the ex racer Dressage classes with my Weatherbys TB Gelding Pompeii. We were thrilled with our score of just shy of 68% and to receive a fab Rossette and Aloeride prize just adds to the fun. We’ve been working very hard and each month I look forward to entering and filming my test.” (Melissa Bell)
